T on Tuesday, heatwave maybe?

This evening, and here is my mug of hot chocolate - or to be more accurate - hot raw cacao with a little coconut sugar, cinnamon, ground vanilla and nutmeg. Yum. Why - well it is T for Tuesday, that day when you can blog anything you like if you include a beverage (real or crafted) somewhere along the line and if you join in at Elizabeth and Bleubeard's blog.
This week's Dancing in the Sea square is bobble hearts. Some folk are getting creative with different motifs, I did attempt dog's paw prints but gave up and I like the hearts anyway!

Kenny was here! 4 year old Kenny took about 20 photos of his Minion light with my phone, but it has my tea in it!
Lily was fascinated with my crochet, it is a wonder I got any done at all!

My own strawberries for breakfast!

It's short and sweet, I am shattered after a week of grandchildren and family staying. I know it does hubby a lot of good, but the family were shocked at how ill he looked and how tired he got when we went anywhere. He wants to do it while he still can, but he can't be anywhere for very long before he needs to go home and rest.
Tonight we went to the hospital for hubby's scan and I started another C2C blanket for a premature baby to keep busy while I waited. I started my last heart square but lost confidence that I was remembering the pattern correctly (I checked when I got home and it is right so far). I used one of my new Tulip hooks on the C2C, I love how it feels in my hand! I just hope I don't find out I am allergic to rubber!
Now Clover Armour hooks are half price at Amazon I am tempted to get a set to try against the Tulips (no - behave Cazzy!).
Once more I haven't got round and commented (apologies again) and now I am two weeks behind on that!

  1. Those strawberries looks yummy- can't wait for them to be in season here- maybe another week? I hope the hubby isn't too worn out from the grandkids, but it must have made him happy. Love to see your crocheting too. Happy T day and enjoy your coco. :) Erika

  2. We understand when life gets in the way of computer time. Anyone who says they don't understand are only fooling themselves.

The heart square is simply WONDERFUL. I'm doing a series of ICADs using hearts, but I am about out of options. And I thought I could make hearts for 61 days. Silly me. But if I crocheted, I could make those heart squares for 61 days. They are adorable.

Loved the photos of Lily and the adorable photo you shared that Kenny took. It's amazing how kids learn to take photos so quickly.

Sorry that your husband is still not doing well. I just hope he improves soon. Thanks for taking time to join us for T this soon to be Tuesday because I know how precious your time must be right now.

  3. Aah, how nice to have the family visit-and then go home so you and hubby can rest again after all that moving about:) Love that beautiful square with the heart. Happy T day!

  4. Happy T Day Cazzy. Glad you got to enjoY some time with the little ones - cute photos! Those strawberries look great. Love the different patterns you do on your crochet. HAVE A GOOD WEEK; AND ALL THE BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR HUBBY- HUGS, vALERIE

  5. Just stopping by to say hello on Tuesday. I loved your crochet pieces, something I have never been able to do.
    Super photos of your family.

  6. Beautiful squares -- I love that color and pattern-

  7. Having family visiting is exhausting. But it is such fun and the children grow up so fast!
You are growing strawberries! That is great! I bet they tasted divine!
Your crochet square looks lovely. Yes, I too like the heart.
    Happy T-Day,

  8. I hope y'all are enjoying your outings, but you're right that it's important to know when to rest. I love your hot cocoa cup, and those strawberries look delicious! Happy T Tuesday!

  9. ha ha...when babies 'help' it is an adventure! such a sweet moment. Love your bauble pattern...I think I did that pattern once, but it's been so long I really am not sure how it's done. i just remember LOTS of stitches in one space! Your beverage sounds sooo yummy!! happy T day!

  10. Your Strawberries do look so yummy . We managed to get a couple of batches picked and eaten before some critter discovered the patch and ate everything in sight including the green ones :( Grandchildren can tire one out rather quickly. Sending prayers to your and your husband.

  11. Yes, families - great to have them around but it can be just as good when they leave! Hope your husband can get a bit of a rest now! Love your crochet square - I never learnt! Hugs, Chrisx

  12. Hi Cazzy,

I don't sit down and visit everyone all at once.. I just don't have that kind of time... i try to do a handful or so over coffee , then if i sit down later in the day i'll do another handful... sometimes i don't make it all in one day... I don't think anyone minds late visitors.. i know i don't.... Lovely photos this week. Your strawberries look yummy! I haven't crocheted in ages... i'd like to make a scarf...hmmmm... Hugs! deb
